Worlds next genocide

I believe the message of CST is built into us as human beings. It is simply our moral compass, our conscience. The only thing holding us back from using it every day is a lack of courage. For example, you might witness someone being bullied, you know it's wrong but you don't say anything because you don't want to be the next victim. And it can be up scaled to a race of people. A race of people are being murdered, we all know it is wrong, but we are scared to help. We blame other things so it does not look like we are scared, like money, or simply say it is not our issue to deal with. I believe CST can drive our nation because it is built into everyone of us. We just need to let it take over and not fight it.

I think the shooting in Connecticut calls for a direct call because it's society as a whole. The shooting effected society, everyone had empathy for the people of Newtown. This shooting was a wake up call if you will for society to realize what they are doing. That guns need to be controlled, video games need to be less violent, and mental health needs to be taken very seriously. We, as a society, must reevaluate.

Charity and Justice

Project HOME provides justice for the homeless by giving them a leg to stand on when society did not. It is not always the homeless persons fault they are homeless. Project HOME gives an actual, permanent home for people to live in. It helps them with the bills and everything until they can afford it themselves. It provides long lasting shelter while other shelters just last for a night if your lucky. The housing and street outreach is, in my opinion, the most important because it gets people off the street. Which, in turn, makes the crime rate go down, making the community safer.

Factory Fire

I believe it is all of our responsibilities to be aware. The customers should be aware of what they are buying and where it is from, the companies should tell us what we are buying and information about the product, and the government should require the companies to provide that information. The details around the fire and working conditions are a completely different issue. The factory should be up to code and safe for its workers, if you are going to give them a very low salary the least the factory can do is keep them safe.

Radical Forgiveness

PJP's story is very similar to Immaculee's because they both forgave someone that tried to kill them. I still cant believe anyone would forgive someone that tried to end their life, "hey I know you tried to kill me but I forgive you, it's okay". I can not wrap my head around that level of forgiveness, especially without holding a grudge. The fact that PJP and Immaculee both went back, looked their potential killer in the face and forgave them blows my mind! That level of forgiveness is rare to achieve but must be achieved for closure.

Messy World

I wouldn't say the world is entirely a "mess", it's just not the ideal world we all in vision. And the idea of the perfect world requires people to make it like that. Therefore, the world population is a mess. People and cultures just differ so much it's nearly impossible to have everyone agree.

Global Solidarity

to a nation that has just experienced a natural disaster because the rest of the world has empathy for the affected nation. The rest of the population wants to restore the victims lives to normal. On the other hand, the world is very slow to respond, if they respond at all, to "people problems". Someone in the USA doesn't care very much about some Afghani woman being forced into prostitution. Simply because they do not know the girl. It becomes a totally different story when it's personal, people care and see the injustice. Nations should care and help people like when a natural disaster happens. We all should look at women's rights as a city that we are trying to build.
